FAQs
Here are some of the frequently asked questions pertaining to names and auctions:
Q. I tried to register but it says I am already registered?
A. If you took part in last year's event and contest, then you were automatically pre-registered for this event. You can retrieve your info by entering your email here http://www.domainmadness2.com/login-reminder.htm and then checking your email (check your Junk folders).
Q. How do I bid?
A. Simply register, confirm and bid. Bidding requires you only enter your MAX bid, or amount, and then confirm on the following page.
We strongly encourage you to bid in one of the many test auctions going on now, this will help you understand the bidding process and system as a test.
Don't wait until the last minute!
You never know what can go wrong (with your browser or connection or an act of God) so don't wait to enter your max until the last few seconds. Won't work as any bid registered within the last 2 minutes will automatically extend it another two minutes.
Q. I did not receive my signup email?
A. Please make sure to check your Spam or Junk Mail folder. Look for an email from Support. This is normally where it is found. If not, please contact us via live support or email for help getting your account ready.
Q. I received an error when bidding that says "Duplicate Bid"?
A. That means the bid you entered has already been submitted by another bidder. Go back to the auction and increase your bid amount and reconfirm.
Q. The auction says "No Reserve" but the price is $XX,XXX
A. In this case, 'no reserve' means that the first bid wins the domain - if no other bids come in. All the domains listed here are posted at their reserve price already.
Q. 'Current Bid' and "Next Bid' are the same number, why?
If there are no bids in the auction, the current and next bids are one in the same. It means that the next bid becomes the current bid - which then changes the next bid figure based on the auction's bid increment.
Q. Who are you?
A. DM2 is the second annual auction and event put on by DomainConsultant.com, a firm whose members have collectively bought and sold over $40m in domains to date, have years of experience and success and are known and valued in the domain community.
Q. How can I contact you?
A. You can use the contact form on the site for general inquiries. For auction or account help, please use the Live Support button when online.
Q. Are there alternate methods of bidding?
A. Yes, we can accept phone or fax bids or bid on your behalf via support or 'house' account. Again, contact us with any specific requests you may have.
Q. Can I still submit domains for the auction?
A. Only if you have something really special at an even better price, we don't want to overload or saturate the inventory.
